Maska’ is a high budget movie produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Art Productions banner, featuring Ram, Hansika and Sheela in the main cast. Director B.Gopal and producer MS Raju come up with a youthful romantic action entertainer for the Sankranthi festival.  The film has raised a lot of expectations and it manages to live up to the expectations to a large extent.

Story: Krish (RAM) is a happy go lucky type who spends all his time away with his friend Sunil. Krish stays with his brother Naresh and sister-in-law Jhansi.

Krish wants to lead an easy life and so he plans to hang a girl who is on her way to the United States. By marrying such a girl, he hopes to go to the United States and lead a cozy life for ever. Krish comes across such a girl in Manju (Sheela) who has just got a US visa to pursue higher education in New Jersey.

Krish follows her and manages to impress her playing upon her weakness. Just when he is about to win over her love enters Meenakshi (Hansika Motwani). Krish is now caught between the two beautiful girls.

But slowly Krish realizes that he is hopelessly in love with Meenakashi. But this time, Manju also falls in love with Krish.

But Krish’s double game is exposed just before the interval bang and Meenakshi leaves Krish saying that he is a cheat.

Post interval, Krish is left fending off the advances of Manju, who is now determined to marry him at any cost. Krish on the other hand desperately tries to win back Meenakshi’s love and he succeeds.

The film then takes on a curious turn as two powerful MPs, Mukesh Rushi and Pradeep Rawat are after Meenakshi.

Who is Meenakshi and why the two MPs, who are also big factionists after her? What happens to the love of Krish and Meenakshi? What happens to Manju? Answers for all these questions and much more can be found on the silver screen.

Performance:

Ram comes up with an impressive performance. He is full of energy and he does a good job, both as a lover boy and also as an action hero. His dance steps in a couple of songs are also very impressive.

Hansika Motwani is as gorgeous as she was in her debut film Desamuduru. She comes up with a decent performance and excels in the glamour department.

Sheela comes across as a big surprise. Sheela played a homely girl next door character in Parugu. However, in Maska she is completely transformed into a hot and sexy actress. Sheela sizzles and gives a tough competition to Hansika in terms of glamour and oomph.

Sunil plays the best friend to Ram and he does a lot of comedy. Sunil comes up with a full length comic role after a long time and he proves that he is still as good as ever.

Mukesh Rushi and Pradeep Rawat do justice to their roles as factionists turned MPs. Naresh is okay while Jhansi comes up with another impressive performance. She plays a girl from Nellore and her performance is in a way, a continuation of her ‘Kokapet Aunty’ role in Tulasi.

Music by Chakry is okay and the songs have some fast beats and are set to foot tapping music. The screenplay is also interesting.

The film runs in a fast and entertaining manner in the first half but slows down a bit in the second half. The enmity between Mukesh Rushi and Pradeep Rawat bogs down the pace of the film considerably.

Maska is a paisa vasool film with lots of action and entertainment and the two leading ladies, Hansika and Sheela are a treat to watch.
